iExperience Food Technology Part 2

Making the final product! 

For Term 4 iExperience, I've been focusing on teaching food technology integrating with the topic of 'Healthy Eating'. 
Learners have enjoyed learning about the food pyramid and different food group. Learners identified the need to consume food from different food group and explained why. 

All learners had the change to taste different ingredients and designed their product (healthy sandwich). Learners first started with deciding an ingredient from each food group. Later on, they thought about the taste and the presentation of their product and completed their final design. 

Finally, all learners were able to create their healthy sandwiches and munched them all at the end of the lesson for their afternoon tea! 


From this SOI iExperience, I've learned how to plan thoroughly for positive engagement and learner's learning needs. Also the importance of including fun and exciting activities that would heighten their motivation to participate and learn.
